KREA University launches special MBA programme for L&T Construction Executives in Tirupati

The IFMR  Graduate School of Business, KREA University has launched a special curated Executive MBA Program with specializations in Finance, Supply Chain, Human Relations and Industry Relations for L&T Construction Employees. This programme has been designed to combine concepts and principles of management disciplines with relevant practical aspects in different functional areas.

The classes for customized executive MBA programme will be conducted at IFMR GSB's Sri City campus. The programme will also include periodic stints of residential in-campus sessions followed by online sessions over WebEx TM for each trimester supplemented with self-paced learning. The first batch of the programme will constitute 45 handpicked executives across various divisions of the company, working across different parts of the country.

The content, mode of delivery and selection of executives for this programme is uniquely structured in order to enhance the candidate's skill, knowledge, and capability. It has also been carefully designed to combine the concepts and principles of management disciplines with relevant practical aspects in different functional areas. The course will constitute comprehensive core courses, a wide range of elective courses in the participants' areas of expertise, workshops, and individual masters' dissertations.

The head of Indirect Taxation, Divisional Corporate, L&T Construction, Venkatesh, said that, 'The aim of this arrangement with IFMR GSB is to sensitize our executives to the importance of management knowledge and principles and to issues like working capital management, project costing etc.'

Also, in his inaugural address Dr. Sundar Ramaswamy, Vice Chancellor, KREA University said, ' L&T Construction is known for its contribution not only in terms of infrastructure but also in terms of growth of the economy. In order to continue to be able to contribute, we need to re-skill ourselves, mainly due to the paradigm shift in human-machine interactions, human-human interactions and human-nature interactions. This special arrangement for executives of L&T construction will address the concern of up-skilling and prepare them for the future."
