The Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc Bangalore) has extended the application dates for the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) exams. According to the dates provided, students can now submit their applications until September 6, 2021. Students who wish to apply for the KVPY exams can visit the official website to submit the applications.
As per the details mentioned on the official website, the students in class 11 or the 1st year of any undergraduate programme in Basic Sciences - B.Sc/ BS/ B.Stat/ B.Math/ Integrated M.Sc/ MS in Mathematics. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are eligible to apply for KVPY exams.

Students must also note that they are required to keep a soft copy of their passport size photograph and signature with them when filling the KVPY 2021 applications. Students from the reserved category are also required to upload a copy of their category certificate in the required format when submitting the applications.

KVPY is a national-level fellowship programme in Basic Science funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The students are selected based on their performance in the aptitude test and interview. The merit list is prepared from among those students who appeared for the exams and were called for the interview. The selection process is conducted by a committee at IISc. The final merit list will be issued based on the aptitude test and the marks secured in the interview.
