National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) is the body that takes care of the research and training in the field of education in the country. The body has been excellent in its work and it operates through its regional centres that have been spread across the country. In a recent development, the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) is to set up its Regional Institute of Education (RIE) in Andhra Pradesh. This move has been a welcome one by the body and it will have good results in the time to come.
The Regional Institute of Education (RIE) will be set up in the time to come and it has been an outcome of the Vice President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu. The Vice President has suggested the MHRD that a detailed project report needs to be prepared on this proposed RIE in Andhra Pradesh. It is important to note that the RIE will be set up in Nellore. The Vice President not only suggested the MHRD but also he had a talk with the Union Minister for HRD, Ramesh Pokhriyal, in person.
The Vice President had a long talk with the MHRD and there were certain points that had been discussed. The discussion was about setting up of various educational institutes in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telengana. The Vice President asserted that new educational institutes can be sanctioned under AP Reorganisation Act. After the talk, the MHRD has given its nod to the same and the proposal will be on the cards soon. Also, the State Government had already allotted 50 acres of land at Nellore in Andhra Pradesh for this project.
