NEET PG Supreme Court which was set ti resume the hearing on the NEET PG 2024 petition filed by aspirants has now postponed the hearing to October 4, 2025. The hearing has been postponed owing to non-appearance on behalf of the Union of India on Friday as per reports. Check details here.

NEET PG 2024 SC Hearing: As per reports, the Supreme Court has postponed the hearing of the NEET PG 2024 petitions to October 4, 2024. The case has been rescheduled as no one from the Union of India showed up at the last hearing.The petition was filed by aspirants on the last-minute changes incorporated in the exam pattern just three days before the exams. Petitions were also filed on the lack of transparency of the exam marking process, release of question papers and answer key and the RAW score of students

According to updates available, the SC will tentatively hear the NEET PG 2024 petition against the NBEMS and the normalization of scores on October 4, 2024. The hearing was last conducted on September 20 where the CJI questioned the NBEMS on its decision to make late-minute changes to the exam pattern and then again on September 27, 2024 where it was postponed to today, September 30 and has now been tentative postponed to October 4.

The Supreme Court of India will resume the hearing on the NEET PG 2024 petitions filed by aspirants, today, September 30, 2024. Petitions were filed in the apex court pointing out discrepancies and questioning the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) decision not to release the question papers, answer keys and the exam marking scheme. 

The SC bench led by CJI DY Chandrachud will take up the matter today. As per the last hearing held on September 27, 2024, CJI questioned the NBEMS's decision to make last-minute changes to the NEET PG 2024 exam pattern. The CJI questioned the reason for the changes being made just three days before the exam stating that this sent students into a meltdown. The Supreme Court provided the NBEMS with a week to respond to the query posted.

  • The petition against the lack of transparency in the conduct of the NEET PG exam and the declaration of the results was filed by aspirants after the NEET PG results were announced.
  • Aspirants have sought the release of the question paper and answer key along with details of the RAW score and the detailed marking scheme.
  • During the hearing, the SC questioned the decision of the examination conducting body to make last-minute changes to the exam pattern just 3 days before the exams were conducted.
  • SC Asks NBEMS to respond to the same within a week

NEET PG Counselling 2024

The  Medical Counselling Committee has commenced the NEET PG counselling 2024 round 1 registration process. Candidates eligible to apply for the counselling round must complete the registrations through the link available on the official website - mcc.nic.in. 

The round 1 registration process commenced on September 20, 2024. The final dates and complete schedule for all three counselling rounds are yet to be announced by officials. Students are advised to complete the registration process until the complete schedule for all three counselling rounds along with the stray vacancy round is issued.
