NIOS Board has specially designed the Certificate in Professional Development Programme for Elementary Teachers (PDPET) Course to train in-service teachers teaching at primary level. The PDPET Course is of 6 months and can be availed by in-service teachers who teach classes 1 to 5 or those who have a B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education qualification from an NCTE approved TET Institute. The course is aimed at improving the overall quality of the school-level or primary education in the country.
