
Punjab Board Exam 2020 Postponed: Punjab School Examination Board (PSEB) has decided to postpone the on-going board examinations until 31st March looking at the Coronavirus outbreak. As the number of COVID-19 cases rise in the country, state governments have swung into action to implement several precautionary measures to ensure social distancing to ensure that the Coronavirus outbreak doesn’t spread among the people. In line with this, the Punjab Board has decided to postpone all the practical board exams for Class 8 as well as the scheduled written exams for Classes 5, 10 and 12 until 31st March 2020. Punjab Board is expected to announce revised dates for Punjab 10th and 12th Board Exam 2020 soon.
Board Exams Postponed for 5th, 8th 10th, 12th Class Students
While typically, Board Exams are held only for 10th and 12th Class students, Punjab Board holds centralized examinations for 5th and 8th Class students as well. In line with this, the Punjab Board has decided to cancel all exams, both theory and practical papers, for students of all the four classes until 31st March 2020. The decision of PSEB comes after MHRD directive and the order of Punjab State Government, which implemented several measures to counter the spread of Coronavirus among the people.
Parents Students asked to Refer Official Website for Updates
With rumours and misinformation doing rounds around COVID-19 and the Board Exams that are to be held in near future; the Punjab Board has asked students and their parents to only refer to the official website to get any updates related to it. The Board has also informed the students that revised dates for the Punjab Board Exam 2020 will be announced only after 31st March 2020 and will be published as a notification for revised datesheet on pseb.ac.in.
