TN SSLC Exam 2020 Update: Revised Dates 10th Class Exam to be released after 3rd May, confirms Education Minister

TN SSLC Exam 2020 Datesheet Update: As per the latest update, Tamil Nadu School Education Minister KA Sengottaiyan has confirmed that TN SSLC Exam 2020 revised Datesheet will be released by the Board only after the COVID-19 lockdown ends on 3rd May. The minister also hinted that 10th Class students must be prepared for a tight exam schedule with exam papers scheduled back to back in the SSLC Exam Datesheet. The news comes across as a great relief for the students and parents who were worried about further postponement or cancellation of 10^th Class Exam of Tamil Nadu Board due to the on-going national lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Exams Not Cancelled, To be Held After Lockdown

The clarification from TN School Education Minister comes at a time when many students and parents had reached out the Tamil Nadu Board, after fake reports emerged claiming that government is planning to cancel the SSLC Exams 2020 in the state due to the COVID-19 lockdown. To clear the air around these rumours and fake reports, the minister confirmed that the government is not considering any such proposal and instead the board has been asked to make the necessary preparations to hold the exams after lockdown ends. In line with this TN DGE has been asked also prepare a revised TN 10^th Board Exam 2020 datesheet.

Exams Likely in May, Likely to Affect Summer Vacations

 Further providing more information about the time period of Tamil Nadu SSLC Exam 2020, the school education minister also confirmed that 10^th Class board exams for 2020 session will be held only in the month of May, which is usually the time the time for Summer Vacations. He said that students might have to sacrifice their vacations this year, as TN SSLC Exam 2020 are going to be scheduled in the month of May due to the extra ordinary circumstances of COVID-19.

Evaluation for HSC / Plus Two Exam to Begin after Lockdown

Along with SSCL Exam Update for 10^th Class Students, the School Education Minister also mentioned that after the Coronavirus lockdown ends on 3^rd May 2020, the board will also begin evaluation process for HSC / Plus Two Exams for 12^th Class students, which were held before COVID-19 outbreak. He also mentioned that students, who missed out on appearing for some of the last papers of TN HSC Exam 2020 due to lockdown restrictions, will be provided another chance to appear for the exam as well.
