Reopening of Schools in India

Schools and educational institutions across the country have been closed since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the lockdown announced thereafter. After nearly 6 months, Home Ministry in its Unlock 4.0 guidelines allowed partial reopening of schools across the country, wherein students would be allowed to visit their schools on voluntary basis for doubt solving session. To ensure complete safety of students, teachers and non-teaching staff members at school, the ministry has issued detailed standard operating procedures including the manner of sanitisation, the conduct of classes and required infrastructure each school needs to have at the ready.
