CLAT Result 2017 will be available within a few weeks from the conclusion of examination on 14 May 2017. Students have their fingers crossed, as CLAT Result 2017 will decide in which NLU they will secure admission.

As per the CLAT 2017 calendar provided on the official website, the CLAT Result 2017 tentatively will be declared on 29 May 2017.

Merit in the CLAT 2017 Result is sole criteria to get admission in the prestigious 18 National Law Universities and associated institutions. More than 50000 students each year compete for the just about 2000 seats seeking admission to NLUs.

The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) Patiala, conducted the CLAT 2017 this year. The annual CLAT entrance test is conducted by the 18 NLU’s on the rotational basis.

CLAT Result 2017 Seat Allocation

A total of 2432 seats will be allocated based on CLAT Result 2017. Of the total number of seats, 1480 have been allocated as All-India seats; 604 seats have been dubbed as state level seats while 258 seats have been assigned as special category seats.

CLAT 2017 Result Date

As per the official calendar, the CLAT 2017 Result is scheduled to be declared on 29 May 2017 along with merit list. The registration process for CLAT 2017 started with the issue of admission notification on 25 December 2016. CLAT 2017 online examination was held at the allocated centres across the country on 14 May 2017.

The admission process based on the CLAT 2017 merit will commence from the 29 May 2017 after the declaration of CLAT Result 2017.

Students can save the copies of CLAT Result 2017 for further reference. The CLAT Result 2017 score will enable them to apply to the 18 NLUs across the country. They are required to submit the admission application along with the valid CLAT Result 2017 score and counselling fee through the CLAT official website to be considered for admission.

Admission will be granted to the students on the basis of merit in CLAT 2017 Result and as per the norms of respective NLUs.

About CLAT 2017

The 18 participating National Law Universities (NLUs) each year on a rotational basis, for short-listing students for the Under-Graduate (UG) / Post-Graduate (PG) Law programmes, conduct Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the only way to secure admission in one of the 18 National law universities, to pursue the most coveted LLB/LLM programmes offered by these NLU and associated institutions.

The admission is granted on the ‘merit-cum-preference’ in accordance with the eligibility and other criteria as laid down by respective NLUs. The participating 18 National Law Universities are listed below:
