Admission Committee for Professional Courses to Keep a Check on Management Quota Seats in Gujarat

Apr 11, 2014 17:29 IST

With an aim to keep a check on capitation Fee and in order to regulate the capitation fee charge taken for the admissions through management quota, the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) has decided to allow management quota preference to all students in the state Gujarat.

The ACPC has stated that students will be allowed to give preference to management quote through an option mention in the form for the same, the option for management can be selected at the time of applying for programme.

The list of total students who has preferred this option will then be forwarded to managements of the college who will take further action to fill seats of management quota.

An ACPC official told that this will help to give local ACPC a fair idea regarding how many students wish to pay and take admission under management quota.

Official added that though the colleges will decide on the admission under the management quota but the selection of the student will be from the list which is sent to the colleges by the ACPC.

Gujarat sees near about 75% seat in the self-finance colleges are filled up by the admission through the ACPC whereas mere 25% are filled by college management directly. The college managements are then very much likely to charge capitation fee and even other forms of donation on these 25% seats.
