Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) will hold a competitive ARS/NET Examination - 2011 where two separate examinations will be held as (I) Prelim - ARS / NET Examination - 2011 and (II) ARS - Main Examination - 2011.

Date of both the examinations: 12.02.2012.

Important Dates

  • Opening date for sending application: 29 August 2011
  • Last date for sending application: 31 October 2011
  • Last date for sending application (candidates from remote areas): 15 November 2011
  • Tentative date for Examination: 12 February 2012

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification (as on 1 August 2011)

For Prelim- ARS/ NET Examination and ARS - Main Examination: A candidate must possess a Master's degree or equivalent in the concerned subject.

Age Limit (as on 1 August 2011)

  • For Agriculture Research Service: Minimum 21 years; Maximum 32 years.
  • For National Eligibility Test: Minimum 21 years; Maximum- No bar

The cut-off date for determining the eligibility for the qualifying examination would be 30 October 2011. However, for the purpose of aforesaid eligibility, the candidate must submit proof of his/ her having qualified the examination on the cut-off date i.e. 30 October 2011 by 31 December 2011 failing which his/ her candidature stands cancelled.

Application Fee: Candidates seeking admission to ARS/ NET Examination must pay to the Board a fee of Rs 1,000 through a Crossed Bank Draft only, valid for six months from the date of issue, drawn in favour of Secretary, ASRB and payable at New Delhi with the application form.  Candidates should write their name and address on the reverse of the Bank Draft in the top corner at the time of submission of application. No other form of payment will be accepted by the Board. 

All women candidates and the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Schedule Tribe/ Physically Disabled categories are exempted from payment of any fee. No fee exemption is however, available to OBC candidates and they are required to pay the prescribed fee in full.

How to Apply: A candidate seeking admission to the Examination must apply to The Secretary, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan, Pusa, New Delhi-110012 on the prescribed application form.
