All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) 2012

Programme of Action (PoA), 1992 under the National Policy on Education (NPE), 1986 envisaged conduct of a common entrance examination on all India basis for admission to professional and technical programmes in the country. For admission to Engineering and Architecture/Planning programmes, Government of India vide Resolution dated 18th October 2001 has laid down a Three - Exam Scheme (JEE and AIEEE at the National Level and the State Level Engineering Entrance Examinations (SLEEE) for State Level Institutions - with an option to join AIEEE).

Mode of the Test: Computer Based Online Test and Paper Based Test

Important Dates

  • Opening Date for online submission of application: 15 November 2011
  • Last Date for online submission of application: 31 December 2011
  • Last date for receipt of complete confirmation page with bank draft: 5 January 2012
  • Date of dispatch of Admit Card: 10 March 2012 to 31 March 2012
  • Date of dispatch of Duplicate Admit Card: 7 April 2012 to 28 April 2012 (by hand) and 11 April 2012 to 20 April 2012 (by post)
  • Date of Offline Examination: 29 April 2012
  • Date of Online Examination: 7 May 2012 to 26 May 2012
  • Declaration of Results: On or before 15 June 2012
  • Dispatch of Score Cards: 21 June 2012 to 5 July 2012
  • Dispatch of Duplicate Score Cards: 10 July 2012 to 30 September 2012

Eligibility Criteria for AIEEE 2012: The candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination (see Appendix - IX). Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination in 2012 may also appear in AIEEE 2012 provisionally.   

Registration Fee

Online Exam: Registration fee for online exam is Rs 500 (Rs 250 for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates) For BE/B Tech only or B Arch/ B. Planning only. Candidates opting for both BE/ B Tech and B Arch/ B. Planning will have to pay registration fee of Rs 1100 (Rs 550 for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates). 

Offline Exam: Registration fee for offline exam is Rs 800 (Rs 400 for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates) For BE/B Tech only or B Arch/ B. Planning only. Candidates opting for both BE/ B Tech and B Arch/ B. Planning will have to pay registration fee of Rs 1400 (Rs 700 for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates). 

How to Apply: Candidates should apply for AIEEE 2012 ‘Online' only both for Offline Examination (Paper/Pen Test) as well as Online Examination (Computer Based Test).  Candidates can register their names online for BITSAT-2012 by applying in the prescribed application form online.
