Army Recruitment board to conduct written exam on 31 July, 1500 candidates eligible to appear

As many as 1500 selected candidates out of the 45000, would go through the written examination in Bareilly, conducted by the Army Recruitment Board. The examination will be held on 31 July.

A total of 1800 candidates cleared the physical and medical tests in the first round and 1500 of them would appear for the written examination on 31 July, 2016. Another 219 candidates would appear for the written test on 28 August and the rest of 75 candidates on 6 August, 2016 in Lucknow.

The examination would take place in three different dates at two different locations.

The 1500 selected candidates, who had to go through physical and medical tests in the army recruitment rally, would have to undergo written examination in four categories namely Soldier tradesmen who are artisans, including barber and tailor, soldier technical, soldier general duty and hawaldar.

For the other two categories of soldier clerk and nursing assistant in Lucknow, 219 and 75 candidates respectively would take up written examination on 28 and 6 August. While the Solider nursing assistant examination would be conducted online, the soldier clerk category written examination would be conducted offline.

The Army Recruitment Board had invited applicants online for the first time this year from the Bareily, Badaun, Pilbhit, Shahajahanpur, Sambhal and Lakhimpur Khiri area. It has got wonderful response from the applicants and now is planning to take the entrance test online from next year onwards.

The candidates from next year onwards would have to pass the entrance test in order to qualify for the physical ability round. This would curtail down the number of candidates who take part in the initial round of physical ability at the recruitment in the first round and reduce the burden of the recruitment authorities.
