Purpose: For admission to the various bachelor’s degree courses in medicine that include MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BPharm
Cost of Form: Rs. 1,200 (available at designated branches of Bank of Baroda, BHU Branch, SS Hospital, Varanasi)
Number of Seats: MBBS – 84; BDS – 38; BAMS – 78; BPharm – 33
Eligibility Criteria: Class 12 pass with a minimum of 50% in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together. Candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination can also apply. For BPharm, it is a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) and the respective PC candidates.
Date of Examination: PMT Screening – 8 May, 2011; PMT Main – 12 June, 2011
Deadline for Application Submission: 9 March, 2011
Selection Process: Each candidate is supposed to take the following entrance tests for the MBBA course
PMT Screening – No. of Questions: 200
Type of Questions: Objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology
PMT Mains – Type of Questions: Subjective
Only on qualifying in the PMT Screening, can the candidate appear for the PMT Mains. Admission to the other courses like BDS, BPharm and BAMS is also through PMT Screening but in this case it is PMT Screening alone.
