Bank of India notified list of selected candidates for interview in Bank of India for recruitment of 1800 General Banking Officers in Scale-I (Probationary Officers) on 10 March 2012. The candidates were selected on the basis of eligibility criteria notified by the bank along with cut off list prepared through a valid IBPS score obtained.

As per the notice by Bank of India dated 27 December 2011, the recruitment process of the bank started from 19 January 2012 and ended on 31 January 2012.
The result published by bank of India is provisional subject to submission of required documents for eligibility at the time of interview which will tentatively start from 26 March 2012 in phases. Candidates can download the call letters from the bank's website 10 days before the date of interview.
The candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in the interview wherein minimum qualifying marks are 50% for General category and 45% for reserved category.
Bank of India was founded on 7 September, 1906 by a group of eminent businessmen from Mumbai and was nationalised in July 1969. The Bank has 3752 branches in India spread over all states/ union territories including specialized branches that are controlled through 50 Zonal Offices.
