The Karnataka state government is about to conduct the KARTET 2018 exam on 03.02.2019 for recruiting the candidates on primary teachers and upper primary teachers posts. Hence, the preparation for KARTET exam becomes very crucial. Candidates find themselves in difficulty for finding the right books to start preparation. Karnataka TET (KARTET) Exam Pattern

KARTET 2018 exam will be conducted in two offline papers- Paper-1 and Paper-2. Both the papers will contain questions in MCQs format having four options. The short detail of paper-1 and paper-2 is as follows-

Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2018 Cutoff Marks

  • Paper-1: This KARTET paper is compulsory for those candidates, who are seeking to become teacher for Classes 1-5 in the Karnataka state schools.
  • Paper-2: This paper is necessary for those teaching candidates, who want to teach for Classes 6-8.

Beyond this, if a candidate want to be a teacher for classes 1-8, he/she need to appear in both papers and attain the minimum qualifying marks predetermined by the Karnataka government.

Important points to remember:

  • Both papers will have 150 MCQs.
  • Each question carries 1 mark.
  • There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
  • The time duration for each paper will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Environmental Studies section carries the same weight (no. of questions & marks) as other section. There will be 30 questions of 30 marks that will be asked in the KARTET exam.
