Calcutta University announced admission to PhD Programme in Hindi 2013

University of Calcutta was established in 1857 and is recognised as a Five Star University and a Centre with Potential for Excellence by the University Grants Commission and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. It invites application from eligible candidates to the PhD. Programme in Hindi.

• Date of Written Test: 20 March 2013 from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm
• Date for display of successful candidates in written test: 28 March 2013
• Date for interview: 8 April 2013 at 12 noon
• List of successful candidates will be displayed on: 8 April 2013

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Postgraduate degree in relevant subject from a UGC recognized university

Note: Candidates who have already cleared MPhil/ NET/ SET or equivalent are exempted from appearing for the written examination and can directly apply to appear for the interview.

Selection Process

The candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Test and interview by the university. The written test will be of 50 marks interview will be of 50 marks and will be conducted for candidates who are successful in Written Test.

Application Fee and Mode of Payment

General and OBC candidates will have to pay Rs 100 as the application fee while the fee for applicants belonging to SC/ST/ PWD category is Rs 25. The application fee should only be submitted in the form of Demand Draft from Nationalised Bank payable at Delhi in the name of Head, Department of Hindi, University of Calcutta, Kolkata.

How to Apply

Candidates are required to submit duly filled in application form along with a challan, against the payment, is to be endorsed by the Head of Department (HOD). Besides this, candidates should also send one page research proposal and copies of M.A. mark sheet and NET / SET / M.Phil, certificate (if applicable) and submit it to the Head, Department of Hindi, Asutosh Building, 87/1, College Street, Kolkata 700073 before the last date.
