The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to conduct an optional proficiency test in the second week of April 2013. The test will be optional for all students studying in CBSE class 10 in the current session (2012-13).
The board has been carrying out optional proficiency tests for class tenth students in all the five main subjects of English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science and Social Science .
Also, the proficiency test has been scheduled in April 2012 keeping students and their interests in mind. The proficiency Test is supposed to measure an individual’s abilities and skills in a domain or subject to know how well he/she has learned, understood and internalized the related concepts and principles.
The main testing element of such a test includes observing, comparing, classifying, solving, translating, interpreting, analysing, synthesising, creating, composing, deducing, justifying and judging.
