CBSE Class 10 English Language & Literature Board Exam 2017; paper analysis and review

CBSE Class 10 English Language & Literature board exam 2017 or (CBSE Class 10 English Language & Literature Summative Assessment 2 Paper) is going to be held today (i.e. 30th March 2017) from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The paper will be of 70 marks and its duration will be of 3 hours. In this article, studetns will get complete analysis of the paper.

CBSE Class 10 English Language & Literature board exam 2017 (CBSE Class 10 English Language & Literature SA 2 Paper 2017) was held on 30th March 2017 from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. 15 minutes time was given to read the question paper. Question papers were distributed to the students at 10:15 AM and the paper started at 10:30. The duration of the paper was 3 hours

 Format of CBSE Class 10 English Language & Literature board exam 2017

There were three sections in the question paper

Section A:        Reading                                                              20 Marks

Section B:        Writing and Grammar                                         25 Marks

Section C:        Literature/ Text Books & Long Reading Texts 25 Marks

In section A (or Reading section), there were two unseen passages and question based on unseen passages were asked.

In section B (or Writing and Grammar section), question based fill in the blanks, poster making, rearrangement of jumble word and phrases etc were asked.  Internal choices in some questions were present in this section.

In section C (or Literature Text Books and Long Reading Text), questions based on stories and poems given in English textbooks were asked.

Total 11 questions (with internal choices) were present in the paper.  There was no overall choice in the question paper.

Students’ opinion on CBSE Class 10 English Language & Literature board exam 2017

Most of the students and teachers pointed out that the paper was quite easy. Questions in the paper were straightforward and quite easy. According to students, 3 hours time was sufficient to attempt the complete question paper. Students were quite happy with the way paper was set.
