CBSE 2025 Fine Arts Syllabus for Class 12: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is the national-level educational board that develops a modern curriculum to create holistic learning in students. There are multiple core and elective subjects it offers to students that they can choose based on their interests and subject streams. One such subject is Fine Arts. Many students have a talented and creative hand that wants to work on a canvas and create colourful and attractive pieces. Some like graphics and sculpturing. For CBSE senior secondary students the Fine Art subjects offer four courses (a) Painting (Code No.049), (b) Graphics (Code No.050), (c) Sculpture (Code No.051), and (d) Applied Art-Commercial Art (Code No.052). The 2024-25 Class 12 syllabus for all these courses is provided here in PDF format. CBSE Class 12 Fine Arts Syllabus 2024-2025
The CBSE Class 12 Fine Arts syllabus 2024–25 will be explained here in a detailed manner for all four courses (Painting, Sculpting, Graphics, and Applied Art). The syllabus of each course will include the course structure to discuss the unit-wise weightage and the course content to explain the detailed learnings from each unit.
CBSE Class 12 Painting Course Structure 2024-25
The theory syllabus for Painting is for the theory paper that will be conducted for 30 marks in a 2-hour duration. There are three units that will be covered for the 2025 Fine Arts exams.

CBSE Class 12 Painting Practical Syllabus 2024-25
The practical exam will be conducted for 70 marks. A total of 6 hours duration will given for the practical which will include a break after 3 hours. Thus, the practical duration will be 3+3 hours.

*Use of clay composition in hollow for baking.
*Modelling of simplified human figures, birds, animals and plants in relief and round. Geometrical shapes like cube, cone, cylinder, etc., and their composition in relief asan exercise in design study of textures. Use of plaster of Paris.
The selected pieces prepared during the course by the candidate and certified by school authorities as works executed in the school are to be placed before the examiners for assessment.
Note:
1.The candidate should be given one hour break after first three hours.
2.The time table to be so framed as to allow the students to work continuously for minimum of two Periods at a stretch.
