CBSE’s notice on clarification of level of Mathematics Exam in class 9:
Why CBSE had to give a clarification note for Class 9 Maths Exam?
Actually, in the beginning of this academic year, 2019-2020, CBSE announced that there will be two levels of Mathematics paper for Class 10 Students who are going to appear in Board Examination 2020. One level will be the Mathematics - Standard which is same as the existing level of examination and the other will be the Mathematics - Basic which will be the easier version of the exam. All those students who do not want to study Maths in future can appear for the easier version of Mathematics exam in the upcoming CBSE exams 2020. This news of two versions of Maths paper in class 10 gave rise to the speculations of the same trend to be followed in class 9 Mathematics exam. Though proposals were made to introduce two versions of Maths paper for all four classes 9, 10, 11 and 12 but it has been brought into effect in class 10 only. So, there shall not be two levels of Assessment/Examination for class IX Mathematics subject.
