CBSE Class 10th, 12th Exam 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) 2024-25 exams are about to begin on February 15, 2025. As per the latest data released by CBSE, around 44 lakh students have registered for the 2024-25 board exams in 204 subjects. For the smooth exam process and giving students an equal and fair chance, the CBSE has a set of exam guidelines that should be followed by students and parents. There are multiple and important exam guidelines that are broadly divided into four categories. Students must check and follow the exam day guidelines. It is the parents' and teachers' responsibility to ensure that their kids do not involve themselves in any unfair means and give the exam with fair efforts and knowledge. CBSE Exam 2025 Will Be Conducted Under CCTV
One of the updates shared by CBSE through a notice regarding the students’ awareness about the exam rules mentions the implementation of a CCTV policy in all exam rooms/halls in all exam centres. These CCTVs will be managed by the assistant superintendent at each exam centre.
CBSE 2025 Exam Updated Admit Card Guidelines
If a student is found possessing, using, or trying to use any electronic device (including mobile phones) that can be used for communication after entering the exam centre, their current and next year's exams in all subjects will be cancelled. They will only be allowed to take the full subject exams after that. This rule also applies to students who spread rumours that disturb the smooth conduct of exams.

CBSE Exam Admit Card Guidelines For Unfair Means
All the cases of unfair means during the CBSE board exams 2025 will be dealt with as per the following guidelines. These guidelines are directly extracted from cbse.gov.in.

1.1 | Having Question Papers of previous years. | Cancellation of current Examination in the concerned subject. Shall be allowed to take the Examination in that Subject in the Compartment examination, if otherwise eligible. CBSE Exam 2025 Permitted and Prohibited Items
The students will have to face a physical examination before entering the exam centre. This will include security guards checking the items you carry and other materials along with you.
List of Permitted Items in CBSE Exam 2025
- Students are allowed to carry admit card and school ID card (For regular students)
- Carry admit card and any government issued ID proof (For private students)
- Transparent Pouch, Geometry/Pencil Box, Blue/Royal Blue Ink/Ball Point/Gel Pen, Scale, Writing Pad, Eraser
- Analogue Watch, Transparent Water Bottle
- Metro Card, Bus Pass, Cash Money
List of Prohibited Items in CBSE Exam 2025
- Communication devices like mobile phones, bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band, smart watch, camera, etc.
- Wallets and goggles are not allowed
- Handbags, pouches, etc. are prohibited
- Any eatable item opened or packed, except for diabetic students
- Any sort of paper with written or printed text, calculator, pen drives, log tables, scanner, etc.
- (Students with Learning Disability i.e. Dyscalculia are permitted to use Calculator as per Circular No. CBSE/COORD/2020 dated 20.01.2020 and are provided the same by Exam centre.
