CBSE is gaming to gain some fresh perspective in terms of the syllabus curriculum for classes XI and XII. For the very first time, fresh school graduates will for the very first time help craft the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum for the above mentioned classes.
The CBSE is considering the toppers of 2012 (class XII board examination) to evaluate the syllabus used by students in their final two years of school across all subjects and streams.
Also, the students who get selected by the CBSE will sit along with the representatives of Kendriya Vidyalayas, other government schools, private schools and the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) on subject specific committees.
This endeavor was taken by the board because it realized that they not only needed teachers but also students to understand the curriculum as they are the ones who would eventually read it.
With approximately twelve thousand three hundred schools affiliated across India and a few countries abroad , CBSE at present is India’s largest school board.
This recent move of including students in creating the course content has come up as a welcome breather to students and the initiative is the latest among initiatives taken over the past three years.
