Union Public Service Commission has invited application from eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Commandants in Central Police Force 2011

a) BSF: 111
b) CRPF: 213
c) CISF: 15
d) ITBP: 36
e) SSB: 122

Important Dates
• Opening date for registration: 18 June 2011
• Closing date for receipt of application (online): 18 July 2011 till 11.59 pm
• Closing date for receipt of application (offline) (candidates from remote area): 25 July 2011
• Date of Written Examination: 9 October 2011 Paper I (10 am to 12 pm) and Paper II (2 pm to 5 pm)

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline

Age Limit: Between 20 and 25 Years. Cut-off date for determining the age will be 1 August 2011

Application Fee: No application fee will be charged from female/ SC/ ST candidate and for other candidates applying online, the fee is Rs 100. Candidates from remote areas will be required to pay a fee of Rs 200 through a single central recruitment fee stamp.

Selection Procedure

The candidate’s overall performance will be judged for final recruitment. The assessment will be made in

1. Written Examination

a) Paper I (General Ability and Intelligence - 250 Marks)
b) Paper II (General Studies, Essay and Comprehension - 200 Marks)

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

3. Detailed Medical Examination

4. Interview/ Personality Test

5. Final Selection/ Merit

How to Apply

  • Candidates are required to apply Online using the link http://upsconline.nic.in/
  • Candidates residing in certain Remote Areas can apply through offline mode also by using the Common Application Form being used for examinations. This application form can be obtained from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post Offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs 30.
  • The candidate should fill up in the relevant places of the Acknowledgement Card, their Application Form Number and the name of the examination.
  • The applicants are required to affix the postage stamp of Rs 6 on the Acknowledgement Cards and send the same along with application form to UPSC.
  • Candidates should also write the name of the examination viz. “Central Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2011” on the envelope before despatching it to “Controller of Examination, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road,  New Delhi-110069”.
