Chandigarh Administration Notified Recruitment for Junior Engineers

Chandigarh Administration, Office of the Superintending notified recruitment of 19 Junior Engineers in four disciplines on temporary basis through direct recruitment.

Details about Vacancies:

Age Limit (as reckoned on 01 January 2012): 25 yrs for Gen; 28 yrs for OBCs; 30 yrs for SC.

Pay Band: Rs.10300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs.4800.

Selection Process: Candidates applying for the above post will be selected on the basis of Qualifications, and performance in Written Test, Computer Test & personal Interview with combined maximum marks 100.

Criteria for awarding marks:

1. Qualification      : 60 (Maximum marks)  
2. Written Test       : 20 marks
3. Computer Test   : 10 marks
4. Interview           : 10 marks
NOTE:

• Those candidates who have acquired direct Master’s Degree in resective disciplines from the recognized University and approved by the Joint Committee of AICTE/UGC/DEC are also eligible but such candidates will be considered at par with the basic qualification of Degree in respective disciplines.

• The mere possession of the prescribed qualification for the above post does not entitle candidates to be called for Written Test.  Whereas the number of applications received in response to this advertisement is large and it will not be convenient or possible for the department to convene written test of all candidates. The Department will short list the candidates in the ratio of 1:10 and such candidates will be  called for Written/ Computer Test on the basis of maximum marks (percentage) attained by them in the Educational qualification.

• Written examination would be conducted for screening of the candidates.
