Eligibility Criteria for Medical Technologist & Other Posts
Educational Qualification
- Para Medical Worker (Leprosy) – High School/Higher Secondary pass; Holding Certificate of PMW Training OR MSW/B.Sc with 3 years experience in the field of Health.
- Medical Technologist (Laboratory) - Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and a two year diploma in Laboratory Technologist recognized in the Govt. of West Bengal; One year diploma course in Laboratory Technology from any University/ Institution recognized by the Govt. of West Bengal; where basic qualification for undergoing the said course in B.Sc.
- Medical Technologist (Radio Diagnostics) – Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and a two year diploma in Radiography (Diagnostics) DRD (Tech.) recognized in the Govt. qf West Bengal.
- Medical Technologist (ECG) - Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and a two year diploma in ECG Technology recognized in the Govt. of West Bengal.
- Technical Supervisor (Blood Bank) – Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/BiologicalScience before obtaining Diploma or Degree; Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) / Diploma in Laboratory Techniques (DLT) from any University/institution recognized by the Central or State Government. Or Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) from any University / Institution recognized by the Central or State Government. Or Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (M.Sc in MLVPGDMLT) from any University/institution recognized by the Central or State Government.
- Lab Technician (ICTC) – Graduate in Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc); with minimum 1 year experience after graduation; OR Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT); with minimum 2 years experience after diploma. The Services of existing LTs who do not hold a DMLT may be continued if they have done a Certificate Course in Medical Laboratory Technology and have more than 5 years experience of working in the rcfc/PPTCT /ART centre urn under the National AIDS Control Programme.
- Sahayika (NRC) – Candidate must be Higher Secondary Passed; Good command on local language of the district
- Medical Officer (AFHC) – MBBS degree (Preference will be given for Post Graduate Diploma/Degree in G7O or Paediatrics and similar experience.
