CIFA Notified Recruitment for various technical posts 2014

Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (CIFA) invited applications for Recruitment of technical posts at Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Bhubaneswar and KVK, Khordha under administrative control of Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Bhubaneswar.

The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 15 April 2014. CIFA is an advanced research institute for freshwater aquaculture, established in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It was established in 1987 by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi.

Age Limit

• Candidate’s age should be between 18-30 years as on 1 January 2014 for post no. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 10.
• Candidate’s age should be between 18-35 years as on 1 January 2014 for post no. 1, 2, 8 & 9.

Educational Qualification

• Senior Technical Officer (T-6) (Farm Manager): M.F.Sc in Aquaculture or Freshwater Aquaculture or Inland Aquaculture.
• Senior Technical Officer (T-6) (Farm Machinery): M.F.Sc in Fishery Technology or ME/M.Tech (Agriculture) in Farm Machinery.
• Technical Assistant (T-3) (Civil Engineering): Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Technical Assistant (T-3) (Electrical Engineering): Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Technical Assistant (T-3) (Instrumentation): Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
• Technical Assistant (T-3) (Fishery Extension): B.F.Sc or BSc in Agriculture.
• Technical Assistant (T-3) (Soil & Agriculture Chemistry): BSc in Agriculture or Chemistry.
• Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) (T-6) (Crop Production): MSc (Agriculture) in Agronomy.
• Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) (T-6) (Home Science): MSc in Home Science.
• Programme Assistant (T-4): BSc (Agriculture) or B.F.Sc. Writing /Speaking knowledge of Oriya and should have minimum 10^th passed with Oriya language as one of the subject.

Application Fees

• Rs.500/- in the form of Bank Draft drawn in favour of “ICAR UNIT CIFA” payable at SBI Kausalyaganga (Code-8874).
• Women candidates, SC, ST and PH candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee.

Pay Scale

• Rs.15600-39100 + GP Rs.5400 for post no. 1, 2, 8 & 9.
• Rs.5200-20200 + GP Rs.2800 for post no. 3 to 7.
• Rs.9300-34800 + GP Rs.4200 for post no. 10.

Selection Process

Selection will be made on the basis of performance in written test/practical test/interview.
