CPCL notifies 23 Refinery Operator (Chemical) vacancies

    Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), a Group Company of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, is in the field of Hydro-carbon processing with a refining capacity of 12 MMTPA, and Refineries at Chennai and Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu. CPCL issued notification inviting applications for recruitment to 23 posts of Refinery Operator (Chemical). Interested candidates should apply online till 16 August 2013.

    Vacancy Details

    Name of the Post: Refinery Operator (Chemical)

    Total Vacancies: 23 posts (tentative)

    Pay Scale:  Rs. 11900 - 32000

    (The posts will be operated on round-the-clock rotating shifts)

    Eligibility

    Age Limit: 30 years (as on 31 August 2013)

    (Upper age limit relax-able by 3 years for OBC candidates and by 5 years for SC candidates

    Qualification: Diploma in Chemical / Petroleum / Petro-Chemical Engineering / Technology OR Degree in B.Sc. with Chemistry as a major subject.

    Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.

    (Apprenticeship Training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, shall be considered as part of work experience)

    Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Written Test and Personal Interview.

    Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of the information provided in the application form. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated about the details of written test latest by 30 August 2013.

    The written test will be held in Chennai.

    Travel Allowanced: SC / ST candidates called for written test / Personal Interview will be reimbursed Second class Railway / Bus fare on production of ticket.

    Application fees: Non-refundable application fees of Rs. 200 have to be paid through a crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of "Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited", payable at Chennai.

    Candidates will be required to furnish the details of Demand Draft in order to register online.

    Candidates will be required to mention their name and registration number on the back of the Demand Draft

    SC / ST candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.

    How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates should apply online through CPCL website www.cpcl.co.in till 16 August 2013.

    On successful submission of the application form, a Registration Slip will be generated by the system. Candidates should send the registration slip along with Fee DD and attested copies of required certificates / documents to “The Advertiser (CPCL), Post Box No. 9248, Krishna Nagar Head Post Office, New Delhi–110051” so as to reach the said office by 20 August 2013.

    On the envelope candidates should super-scribe “Application for the position of Workman”.

    Candidates should mention a valid active e-mail id in the application form as all information related to the written test / interview will be sent by e-mail.

    On receipt of the e-mail intimation, candidates should re-login in to CPCL website www.cpcl.co.in and ‘Print’ the Admit card. On the printout of the Admit card, candidates should paste their passport size photograph (same as the one pasted on the Registration Slip) and carry the Admit Card to the Examination venue on the date and time mentioned.
