Department of Disaster Management Recruitment 2016 for 11 Disaster Professionals Posts

Department of Disaster Management invited the candidates for the post of disaster professionals on contract basis. The candidates eligible for the post can send their application in prescribed format on 16 August 2016.

Under Department of Disaster Management Recruitment 2016, out of total of 11 posts, 01 post is allotted to Capacity Building Officer, 01 post is allotted to Documentation Officer, 01 post is allotted to Disaster Management Specialist and 01 post is allotted to Disaster Professional (one at each of the 08 (eight) Districts).

Eligibility for Capacity Building Officer – Candidates must be Post Graduate degree/diploma or equivalent in any of the disciplines under Social Sciences, Management, Disaster Management and/or relevant fields with at least 10 years of experience in the development sector having relevance to disaster management especially at the state level, and civil society organization specifically in managing training programmes. Candidates must also have fluency in writing and in speaking English and spoken Bengali.

Eligibility for Documentation Officer – Candidates must have University degree in Social Science/Rural development / Management / Mass communication with 3-5 years of experience in handling documentation work at the state / national level along with understanding of the working of state Govt would be desirable. Candidates must also have fluency in writing and in speaking English and spoken Bengali.

Eligibility for Disaster Management Specialist – Candidates must be Post-graduate in Management, Urban/ Rural Planning, Social Sciences, Disaster Management and/or relevant fields with at least 10 years of experience in the development sector having relevance to disaster management especially at the state level, and civil society organization specifically in managing training programmes. Candidates must also have fluency in writing and in speaking English and spoken Bengali.

Eligibility for Disaster Professional – Candidates must have Master’s degree from a recognized university with 3-5 years of experience in disaster management. Candidates must also have fluency in writing and in speaking English and spoken Bengali.
