The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will conduct Common Written Examination (CWE) for recruitment of Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in Regional Rural Banks in September 2012. The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has been entrusted with the responsibility of coordination and Supervision of the selection process beside finalisation of the methodology for the conduct of the Common Written Examination.
Common Written Examination (CWE) is to be conducted by Institute of Banking Personal Selection (IBPS) for recruitment of Officers in Group A and Group B on 2 & 9 September 2012 respectively. A total of 82 Regional Rural Bank (RRBs) will participate in the Recruitment Process.
Officers in Group A will include Junior Management Grade Scale I, Middle Management Grade Scale II (with 1 to 2 years experience), Middle Management Grade Scale III (with 5 years experience), and Group B will include Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in RRBs.

Candidates applying for above mentioned cadres in the RRBs will have to qualify the Common Written Examination (CWE) conducted by IBPS. The CWE is to be followed by an Interview by the respective RRBs. There will be a common paper for both Generalist and Specialist cadres for Officer Scale I.
IBPS will issue a valid Score Card to all the successful candidates who can henceforth, apply in RRB for recruitment as per their requirement. The Score Card will be valid for one year from the date of issue. Interview of the candidates who have secured minimum qualifying marks in CWE in order of merit will be done by a Committee constituted by the concerned RRB. After completion of interview process, RRBs will issue letters of appointment to the selected candidates.
