    DU Admission 2017: 3500 students register for UG courses as website becomes fully functional

    Three days after announcement of CBSE board results, all the tabs on DU website were made active, allowing students seeking admission in Delhi University, to register themselves for desired undergraduate courses.

    DU Admission process started on May 22, 2017 but some of the tabs on the website were inactive as the board results were not announced. candidates could only fill their personal details in the form.

    160,131 admission seekers have registered themselves so far on the website, out of which 73,824 are male and 56,994 female.

    The registration for entrance based courses at Delhi University will start today and the application can log on to university's official website http://www.du.ac.in/ to register themselves for the courses.

    This is the list of entrance-based courses at Delhi University:

    •    Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)
    •    Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis)
    •    BA (Hons.) Business Economics
    •    BA (Hons.) Humanities and Social Sciences
    •    Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
    •    Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health Education & Sports: B.Sc. (P.E., H.E. & S.)
    •    BA (Hons.) Multimedia and Mass Communication
    •    B.Tech. (Information Technology and Mathematical Innovations)
    •    BA (Hons.) Music

    As far as postgraduate programs are concerned, the registrations are postponed to June 7 from May 31, 2017. The registrations for PhD and MPhil courses will also start on June 7 and the last date for the same would be June 20.

    The university will soon release its first cut-off, which is expected to be lower than previous years as CBSE chairman RK Chaturvedi requested Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Tyagi to consider giving appropriate weightage to students of the board because it is strictly following the policy of not moderating boards marks.
    In a resolution adopted during the meeting of 32 school boards organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education and attended by School Education Secretary Anil Swarup, it was decided that they will not inflate class 12 results.

    Here is the schedule for announcement of cut-offs as announced by the university:

    First Cut-off- Tuesday, 20th June 2017.

    Second Cut-off- Saturday, 24th June 2017.

    Third Cut-off- Saturday, 1st July 2017.

    Fourth Cut-off- Friday, 7th July 2017.

    Fifth Cut-off- Thursday, 13th July 2017.

    Sixth Cut-off- Tuesday, 18th July 2017.

    The admission process is as hectic as it always but the knowledge of the schedule and following it, will surely make things easy for the students.
