Expected pattern for SBI PO Pre Exam 2016!

The overall difficulty level of the examination was Moderate last year. Candidates appearing for SBI PO preliminary examination 2016 must brush their tense, grammar and reading skills at the outset. The candidates need to be well versed with the basic grammar and comprehension part.

The SBI is all set to conduct the preliminary examination for the post of Probationary officer in the month of July.  Candidates who will qualify in preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear in Main examination and short listed candidate in main examination will subsequently be called for Interview.

In the year 2015, the Preliminary examination was comprised of 100 objective type questions in English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. A total marks in this test was 100.There was a cut off marks for every section. This was the first time that SBI has conducted its prelims exam.

Here, we are providing the analysis of SBI PO prelims examination 2015 for the subjects of English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. It will help candidates to understand the pattern of upcoming SBI PO preliminary examination 2016.

The structures of the Pre Examination which will be conducted online are as follows:

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination: The examination would be of objective type and would be of one hour duration.

Quantitative Aptitude:

The Quantitative Aptitude section was consists of 35 questions. The level of difficulty was Moderate for this section.

Description of the topic wise Questions asked in the Paper

  • There were 2 to 3 question based on topic of Permutation & Combination and Probability.
  • There were 5 question based on Quadratic Equations.
  • There were 10 question based on Data Interpretation. The level of DI question was moderate but Calculative.
  • There are almost 7 to 8 questions in the paper which deals topic of Percentage, Ratio and proportionsTime and work, Mixture and allegation, average and partnership.
  • There were 5 questions on Series.
  • There were 5 questions on Simplification.

Note: The problems based on Data Sufficiency were missing in the exam.

English Language

The passage asked in previous year was Easy and comprising 10 questions. The overall level of difficulty for this section was Easy. Candidates who opt for the examinations this year must brush their tense, grammar and reading skills at the outset. The candidates need to be well versed with the basic grammar and comprehension part.
