Gauhati High Court Notified Recruitment for 13 Posts in Grade I of Assam Judicial Services 2013

    Gauhati High Court invited application for recruitment to the post of Grade I in Assam Judicial Services. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 15 June 2013. Gauhati High Court was established on 1 March 1948 after the Government of India Act 1935 was passed. After Indian independence, the Assam Legislative Assembly adopted a resolution on 9 September 1947 that a High Court be established for the Province of Assam. The Assam High Court initially had its sittings at Shillong but shifted to Guwahati on 14 August 1948.

    Age limit
    • Candidates age must be between 35 to 45 years for General Candidates
    • Candidates age must be between 35 to 48 years for SC/ST Candidates.

    Educational Qualifications: Candidates should possess Degree in Law from a recognized university and should have atleast 7 years experience in the Court of civil and criminal jurisdiction as an Advocate.

    Pay Scale: Rs. 51550/- Rs. 63070/-p.m.

    Selection Process
    Candidates will be selected on the basis of written test/viva voce test.
