Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is conducting the Himachal Public Administrative Services -HPAS Main (Written) Examination from 15th February 2014.
The Essay paper of the Himachal Pradesh State Services Main Examination consists of one Essay on a specific topic out of the given options, that has to be written in either English or Hindi language.
The paper is of 100 marks and the duration is 3 hours. The word limit is not given, so the candidate has discretion to write in suitable number of words so as to present the ideas in an effective and orderly manner.
The candidates are expected to keep closely to the subject of the essay to arrange their ideas in orderly fashion and to write concisely. Credit is given for effective and exact expression.
In last year’s HPAS Main Essay paper, choice was given among five options. The topics were based on socio-economic issues, human values in public life, various social problems of the country, etc. For example, “Female foeticide- a curse”, “Social responsibility of TV serials”.
Write an essay in English or Hindi on any one of the following topics suitable length.
Credit will be given to relevant and orderly presentation of Ideas.
1. Female foeticide- a curse
2. Corrupytion and Common Man
3. Economic and Social Disparity in India
4. India Needs Sardar Patel Today.
5. Social responsibility of TV serials
