How can I join Reserve Bank of India as an officer?

Q: What is the pay scale of candidates who will be selected as Officers in Reserve Bank of India?

A: The Reserve Bank of India is the central banking institution of India and recruits officers in Grade B through direct recruitment. RBI has initiated the process for recruiting 75 officers in Grade B through Direct Recruitment in the year 2011.

The candidates on appointment with the Reserve Bank of India as Grade B Officers will draw a starting basic pay of Rs 21,000 per month in the scale of Rs 21000-1000-30000-EB-1000-32000-1100-36400 applicable to Officers in Grade B and they will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family Allowance as per rules in force from time to time. At present, initial monthly gross emoluments to direct recruit Grade B Officers are approximately Rs 38,853 per month while the cost to the bank is around Rs 10 lakhs per annum.
