Write your Dreams: The exert advises that one must write his/her dreams on a piece of paper and that dream range from being achievable one to being as unrealistic as possible.
Structure the dream into goals: The next step is to break your dreams into measurable goals. Assign a timeline against each goal and make sure that the timeline is realistic one. It is said that dreams with legs are goals and therefore, you need to set a deadline to achieve them. For say, if you plan to become a football player, set a timeline of 10 years from the day you decide to become one.
Make your dream SMART: Yes! You need to make your dream SMART, which means that the dream should be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time bound. For example, if you decide to perform at the Maharashtra state level championship of volleyball, mention a timeline or date against this dream. I will perform at the Maharashtra state level championship of volleyball on the 5th of August, 2019. This will render you dream SMART.
Create daily and monthly goals: This is a very important step which will keep you in alignment with your dream. You must wake up every morning with a purpose in your life. Life without purpose becomes dull and boring. Once you have created your one year goals, just break them down to monthly and daily goals. In this manner it will become easier to achieve them.
Overcome Procrastination: The act of delaying actions onto tomorrow because you are engaged in unimportant things can cost you your dream. Beat the devil of procrastination and if you have an accountability partner, it will be of great help to you. That person will keep a check on your daily routine and whether you are working hard to achieve your goals or not. This accountability partner could be anyone from your family, a friend or a coach.
The most important tip is, never give up on your mission. Be it any obstacle in your life, stick to your dream and embrace the good and bad times to rise against the tide of difficulties. You will surely emerge as a winner! For more such videos, keep visiting jagranjosh.com.
