QUES How can a candidate apply for the posts of Constables (GD) in CAPFs and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, written examination for which are scheduled to be organized by SSC on 12 May 2013?
ANS A candidate willing to apply for the posts of Constables (GD) in CAPFs and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, written examination for which are scheduled to be organized by SSC on 12 May 2013 can submit their application, in the prescribed format, either online or offline (through post / by hand) till 11 January 2013.
Format of paper application is available in the Annexure I and Instructions for filling up paper application and online application are available in Annexure II and Annexure III respectively available on SSC website.
Procedure for Online Submission of Application:
The filling of online application contains two parts:
Part I Registration
Part II Registration
In Part I registration, candidate will have to fill his / her basic information in the form, check it and submit the form by pressing “I agree” button. On successful submission of the details, a page with Registration No. will be generated by the system. Candidates should either note down the registration number or take a print out of the page.
The application procedure is incomplete without Part II Registration which required filling of payment details, uploading of photograph, and scanned signature.
Candidates can pay the application fee online through net banking, or deposit the fee in cash in any Branch of SBI bank through a fee payment challan which can be downloaded after completing Part I registration. After payment of fees, candidates will have to re-login using Part I Registration Number and Date of Birth to continue with the Part II registration.
Those paying the fee online through net banking can go directly to Part II registration after completion of Part I.
As part of part II registration, candidates should first upload their recently taken scanned photograph in 8 bit JPG format and then upload their scanned signature in JPG format.
The digital size of scanned photograph must be less than 12 kb and greater than 4 kb and of resolution 100 pixel width by 120 pixel height and that of scanned signature must be less than 12 kb and greater than 1 kb and of resolution 140 pixel width by 60 pixels height.
NOTE: The facility of Part-I Registration will be available from 15 December 2012 to 09 January 2013 (upto 1700 hrs) while the facility of Part-II Registration will be available from 15 December 2012 to 11 January 2013 (upto 1700 hrs)
The Commission will send acknowledgement through SMS/email to candidates applying on-line, through e-mail regarding successful completion of registration of on-line application
Procedure for Offline Submission of Application:
Candidates should download the format of paper application from Annexure I of the link
Candidates’ should use only blue / black ball pen to fill in the application form following the Instructions given with the application format. The application should be sent to the Regional Office in whose jurisdiction the centre is situated, irrespective of State / UT of Domicile.

Mode of Fee Payment
Candidates should pay application fee of Rs.50 by means of "Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)" only. Candidates should paste the Recruitment Fee Stamp on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose and get it cancelled from the Counter of Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the Issuing Post Office in such a manner that the impression or the cancellation stamps partially overflows on the Application Form itself, taking care at the same time that the impression is clear and distinct to facilitate the identification of date and Post Office of issue at any subsequent stage.
After getting the Recruitment Fee Stamps cancelled from the Post Office, the candidate must submit their application to the concerned Regional Office / Sub Regional Offices of the Commission in the usual manner after completing other formalities.
CRFS stamps are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country. Candidates should note that non-cancellation of CRFS from the concerned Post Office in the manner indicated above, will lead to rejection of his / her application form. Therefore, it is in the interest of candidates that they get the CRFS cancelled from the concerned Post Office.
Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying fee.
The Registration Number / Registration Number II will need to be quoted in all references to the Commission.

Applications received late will not be entertained.
Only a single application will be entertained from one candidate. Candidature in respect of multiple applications will be rejected outright without any notice to such candidates.
It is in the interest of the candidates to furnish correct e-mail ID and /or mobile number to receive information related to Call Letter, Venues for PST/PET or Written Examination or Medical Examination from the Commission.
