IAS Main 2013:Model Questions on Science and Technology

    IAS Main is commencing from 1 December 2013 and New Pattern gave more wieght-age to new development in Science and Technology.Latest inventions and discoveries in Science and Technology had always been asked in the IAS Main Exam since time immemorial.

    The candidates are expected to know the current awards related to the new discoveries and inventions. Noble Prize has the distinct place in the Science and Technology field and the IAS Main always have a question on the background of the Noble Prize. The Science and technology is a very dynamic topic for the IAS Main due to the new discoveries and inventions. Candidates are required to update themselves with the new happenings and think their applications in the society and for the betterment of the society.

    The new pattern has given the Union Public Service Commission the Leverage to ask more from the Science and Technology field. In the previous years question papers one or two small questions had been asked but in the new pattern one or two full (Big) questions can be asked.


    Following are some of the model questions that can be asked:

    Trace the History of In-Vitro Fertility techniques around the world. Discuss the contribution of Indian Scientists in it.

    Discuss how the nano medicines will be helpful in curing the chronic diseases.

    Discuss the Strategic importance of Prism.
