IAS Main 2013 is commencing from 2 December 2013 and will end on 8 December with two rest days in between thanks to the New Pattern of Examination. Recently Union Public Service Commission has notified for the e-Admit card for the candidates eligible for IAS Main 2013. The National events play a key role in the IAS Main exam because most of questions came from the national events related to the different fields and areas.
National Events are the thread which ropes all the topics of the different fields. The thorough coverage of National Events is required to write any answer in any paper. But answer writing has its own rules and they must be followed.
During the preparation the candidates should comprehend the national events, classify them and club them with the related events and decisions taken by the Government Institutions. The candidates should also enquire about the reasoning behind such decisions and should investigate about its Pros and Cons. This will make the candidate comfortable to Discuss, Criticise, Explain the topic in question. The Candidate should present a balance view in their answer and should cover up any bias.
The candidates should present as well as criticise the Government Decision in a balanced way so that the Merits and Demerits of such issue will be presented in an orderly manner.
The candidate should interlink the National Event with different sectors and analyse its Pros and Cons on each sector. Only after analyzing the Pros and cons the candidate can build a opinion about any issue. The candidate should also try to write nation instead of the word country.
The candidate should try to frame his answer keeping in mind all the stake holders related to that national event. The candidate should take a big picture approach and should think out of the box to suggest the solutions of the existing problems.
