A very down to Earth, decent and little shy guy from Madhya Pradesh has light in his eyes to serve the people of the nation and to empower the downtrodden people. The idea of change in the image of Police is very much reflected in his talks with Rachit Kumar Saxena of Jagranjosh.com.
An Engineer by profession and a man of positive mindset, he argued that the changes in the selection pattern are very much in consonance with the changes in the demand from the Civil Services job. He perceives the changes in the IAS Prelims is here for good and gives a level playing field to all the candidates. He also said that the medium of the examination does not make any difference in the final result. He was very much comfortable in Hindi as well as in English.
Serving the Society and the nation as a whole is his Aim in life.He got the zeal of the Public Service from his father Mr. T.R.Sharma, a retired Indian Forest Officer of 1979 Batch. His father is his role model and he is very much inspired by his father and oriented towards the Civil Service since his childhood days. He suggested that one can select even without joining the coaching institutes but regularly updating the knowledge quotient through the use of Internet is very much required. Though he did his preparation in the conventional way but he accept the utility of Internet for the preparation.
He states that the exam requires an extensive and deeply rooted study of topics. Current Affairs is the linkage of the present with the past. Stressing the need to read at least two newspapers regularly, he said that the candidates should keep their eyes open to the events happening in their surroundings.
He opted for Public Administration as a subject in the IAS Main Exam. He got 206 out of 275 in the IAS Interview equivalent to the IAS Topper Gaurav Agrawal.
He believes in a pragmatic planning of the preparation. During his preparation, he planned meticulously and executed his plans timely.Very much disturbed with Politicians, Police and Criminal Nexus, he said that he will try to reduce the influence of politics on Police.
Playing Snooker and Watching movies are his hobbies. He likes to drive and visit places.
He did his schooling from the Jawaharlal Lal Nehru School in Bhopal. He got 93.6% in 10th class and 91.6% in 12th class.After that he did his Engineering from the Institute of Engineering and Technology ,Devi Ahilya University. After Completion of his Engineering he started preparing for the Civil Services and got the success in his maiden attempt.
The candidates should prepare and give the examination with positive mindset. Positive Mindset is the key to improve the candidate's performance in the exam. Go for standard books and avoid bad company and bad books.
