Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has notified the tentative dates of preliminary and Main online examination for the recruitment to the post of Probationary Officers/Management Trainee. The IBPS Preliminary Examination is tentatively scheduled to be held on 7/8/14/15 October 2017 and the IBPS PO/MT Mains Exam tentatively will be held on 26 November 2017.
IBPS follows three-phase recruitment process, which consists of Two Tier examination and Interview. Aspirants can register for the IBPS PO/MT through the official website and successfully registered candidates are called for the IBPS PO/MT Preliminary Examination. Candidates who qualify the prelims are further called for IBPS PO/MT Mains Exam, and subsequently for the interview.
To be eligible to apply for the IBPS PO/MT Preliminary Examination candidate should possess Degree in any discipline from a recognised University. There is a maximum and minimum age limit for the Probationary Officers/Management Trainee i.e candidate should be minimum 20 years should not be more than 30 Years (age relaxation for all reserved categories as per govt norms).
In the Preliminary phase, examinees are tested on their knowledge of English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability, whereas in the Mains examination candidates are subjected to the questions from the subjects of Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (with special reference to Banking) and Computer Knowledge.
