    IIM Bangalore Final Placement Report 2018 - IIM Bangalore has completed the final placement process for its 2016-18 PGP batch. According to the IIM Bangalore final placement report 2018, as many as 136 companies and 411 students participated in the placement process. These 136 companies made 462 offers to the students at IIM Bangalore. As per the final placement report of IIM Bangalore, the average international package was Rs. 58.20 lakhs, while the average domestic salary package was Rs. 22.76 lakhs. Of the 136 companies, EXL emerged as the top recruiter with 22 offers; it was closely followed by Boston Consulting and Deloitte each making 17 offers. Apart from the domestic offers made, 10 students from the students were offered overseas job offers. 155 pre-placement offers were also made of which 129 offers were accepted.

    According to the final placement report of IIM Bangalore, the Management Consulting sector made the maximum recruitment with 31%, followed by Corporate Finance and Commercial Banking with 16%.

    This year the IIM Bangalore witnessed 136 recruiters that made 462 offers. Although this number is little lower than previous year but the placement offers have increased as compared to last year. The table given below displays the trends in number of recruiters and placement offers:

    Consulting

    The maximum number of offers was made from the consulting sector. Deloitte USI and Boston Consulting made the maximum number of offers with 17 each. Some of the other companies were AT Kearney (16), Accenture Strategy (14), Bain & Company (11), McKinsey & Co (11), Strategy& (6), EY-Parthenon Singapore (5), Nomura Research Institute (5), Deloitte India (4), Ernst & Young (4), GEP Consulting (4), Alvarez & Marsal (3), EXL Consulting (3), Infosys Management Consulting (3), KPMG (3), Feedback Infra, EY-Parthenon Dubai (2), (2), Roland Berger (2), Zinnov (2), Actus Advisors (1), Bay Current (1), Parthenon India (1), Hay Group (1), IBM Consulting (1), Siemens Management Consulting (1) and Renew Power (1).

    Technology Consulting

    In technology consulting domain, PriceWaterhouseCoopers made the maximum number of offers with 12 offers followed by Accenture Technology (6), Larsen and Toubro Infotech Consulting (5) and Cognizant Consulting (4).

    Sales and Marketing

    In the Sales and Marketing domain, Samsung spearheaded with maximum offers as many as 10 offers. Samsung was followed by leading recruiters such as Bajaj Auto (5), Procter & Gamble (4), Anheuser-Busch Inbev (4), Johnson & Johnson (4), EXL Services (3), ValueLabs (3), HMD (2), Hindustan Unilever (2), Indian Oil Corporation (2), ITC (2), Mondelez (2), Vodafone (2), Tata Sky (2), Asian Paints (1), CavinKare (1), Coca Cola (1), Jubilant Foodworks (1), Marico (1), Olympeo (1), RW Promotions (1) and Wipro Consumer Care (1).  

    General Management/ Conglomerates

    In this sector, the General management positions were offered by conglomerates such as Vedanta (5 offers) followed by Aditya Birla Group (4), RPG Group (4), Bharti Airtel (4), CK Birla Group (3), Wipro Global (3), Jindal (3), Mahindra Group (2), Reliance Industries (2), TVS Emerald (1) and Tata Administrative Services (1).

    General Management roles were offered by Sterlite Power (5), Aequs (3), Capgemini (3), Amplus Solar (2), Microland (2), Mytrah Energy (2), DHFL (1), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (1), GSK Pharma (1), Max Life Insurance (1), Urbantree (1), Virinchi (1) and Walmart (1). ONGC made two offers in Human Resources.

    Analytics

    EXL Services (9), American Express (7), UnitedHealth Group (5), PwC DIAC (3), MasterCard (2), Visa (1), WNS Global (1) were the companies that participated in the IIM Bangalore final placement process 2018.

    Information Technology

    This section witnessed some prominent recruiters in the information technology space such as Microsoft (4), EXL (3), Infoedge (3), Servion (3), Telstra Communications (3), VMock (3), Fullerton (2), iPremed (2), Directi (1), SapientRazorFish (1), MAQ (1), Media.net (1), Sprinkler (1), Zynga (1).

    Other companies that recruited in this domain were Gulf Talent (2), Bharti Airtel (1), BNY Mellon (1), Gwynnie Bee (1), Hindustan Unilever (1), Procter and Gamble (1) and Karvy (1).

    E-Commerce and Operations

    Amazon led with 8 offers while other recruiters included Oyo Rooms (6), Paytm (5), Flipkart (3), Ola Cabs (3). Operations roles were offered by EXL Services (5), Stovekraft (5), AB InBev (2), Bharti Airtel (2), Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages (1) and Schneider Electric (1).

    Banking & Finance

    IIM Bangalore played host to most leading global banks on the first day of the Final Placements with Goldman Sachs making the maximum of nine offers. Other offers were made from Deutsche Bank (6), Citibank (3), HSBC (3), JP Morgan (1), Blackstone (1) and Standard Chartered (1). Investment firms included Ambit Capital (1), Arpwood Capital (1), Myntra (1), o3 Securities (1) and Sabre Partners (1). Eight Capital, a hedge fund recruited at IIMB for the first time. Among banks and financial firms, ICICI Bank made the maximum of 9 offers followed by Yes Bank (6), Kotak (5) and National Housing Bank (2). Whereas, Financial Services recruiters included Anand Rathi Wealth Management (5), Bajaj Finserve (4), Altisource (1), BNY Mellon (1) and Piramal Finance (1). Corporate Finance roles were offered by Bharti Airtel (2), Flipkart (2), Hindustan Unilever (2), Reliance Treasury (2), Procter & Gamble (1).
