IIM Lucknow : Summer Placement - 2015

    Summer Placement process for PGPM batch of 2015-17 completed in Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow. Summer placement – 2015 is successfully completed because leading domestic and international companies from different field participated in this summer placement camp.

    These companies gives internship offers to 457 students but most out of these students preferred Sales & Marketing domain. So this year Sales & Marketing emerged as a preferred area of work amongst management students.

    In this summer placement camp, approx. 157 domestic and international recruiters participated. Major out of these recruiter were from sales & marketing finance, consulting and business development including niche profiles in the finance domain.

    Major names in this recruiter camp across sectors were Accenture, Aditya Birla Group, Amazon, Auctus Advisors, Avendus, BCG, Deutsche Bank, Flipkart, Hindustan Unilever, M.H. Alshaya, McKinsey, P&G and TASamong others.

    Many company participated first time in such placement camp, the name those companies are as follow; AskMe.com, CarDekho.com, Hay Group, Nomura IB and Uber etc.

    Key points of the Summer Placement 2015

    Total number of 457 students got internship offer.

    Profile Break-up

    Sectors on the basis of preference were;

    Sales &Marketing (25%), Finance (22%), Consulting (21%), E-commerce (15%), Systems/IT (10%) and General Management (7%).

    FMCG/Consumer Goods

    In this sector a total number of 120 offers were made by the firms such as Airtel, Asian Paints, Coke, Colgate Palmolive, Dabur, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Kellogg’s, L’Oreal, Mondelez, Marico, Mars, P&G, Pepsi, Reckitt Benckiser and Vodafone.

    BFSI sector

    A total number of 40 offers were by firms such as, Avendus Capital, BNP Paribas, Citibank, DBS, Deutsche Bank, Edelweiss, HSBC, ICICI Bank, Karvy, Nomura and Standard Chartered among others.

    IT/e-Commerce/Technology sector

    Main firms from this sectorthat participated were; Amazon, AskMe, CarDekho, Cognizant, eBay, Flipkart, Google, Magicbricks, Microsoft, Myntra, OnlineTyari, Snapdeal, Uber, and Wipro.
