One of the country's premier business schools, Indian Institute of Management - Calcutta (IIM-C) secured the 19th rank among the top 20 Management Schools of the world, revealed a recent release. The Financial Times (FT) conducted a Global Rankings survey, according which IIM-C has been ranked as one of the 20 best management institutes around the world.
As per the release, the IIM-Calcutta participated in the Financial Times (FT) Global Rankings survey for Masters in Management program for the first time earlier this year and came up with this status. The IIM-Calcutta accrues more pride for the nation by securing rank higher than many renowned institutions of the world like the London School of Economics, Aalto University, Manchester Business School and quite a few others.
"This will help institute attracting not only the best students but more renowned faculty from different corners of the world, letting us further strengthen our foundation for chasing our vision of becoming 'An International Centre of Excellence in all aspects of Management Education”, stated an official of IIM-C.
Besides IIM-Calcutta, IIM-Ahmedabad is another name from India to feature in this ranking.
