IIMs All Geared to Hike Fees starting session 2013-15

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM’s) are all gearing up to hike their fees starting this session, 2013-15.

IIM Ahmadabad, which stands as the costliest amongst all the other IIMs, stands at a stoic 16.6 Laks as its fee as of now.

The fee for Post-Graduate Programme (PGP) students of the 2012-2014 batch in IIM-Ahmedabad for the very first academic year was approximately Rs 7.4 lakh. IIM-A, in 2008, announced a nearly six-time increase in fee, from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 11.5 lakh for its flagship two-year PGP course in management. Immediately, the fee was increased in the next two years to Rs 15.5 lakh for the 2012-14 batch.

Successive to IIM A is IIM Raipur , where the fee structure stand to a 9.6 Lakhs in comparison to the 9 Lakh last year, which went on a hike of rs Sixty thousand.

IIM Kozhikode and IIM Kolkata have yet not decided to take the ‘hike ladder’ and have charged a sum of 10 Lakhs for the year 2012-14.

IIM-Bangalore, increased their fee last year, 2012 to Rs 13 lakh is due to take their decision on the fee hike in the third week of January 2013. IIMs that remained with the last year's (2012) fee structure include IIM Kashipur, IIM Lucknow and IIM Rohtak.
