Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Sr. Project Scientist: Ph.D. OR M. Tech. 1st class with 4 years’ experience OR B. Tech. / M. Sc. in Atmospheric Sciences/Meteorology/Oceanography/ Statistics/Physics/Mathematics/ Agricultural Meteorology 1^st class with 6 years relevant experience related to extended range forecasting system.
• Project Scientist: 1st Class M. Tech or equivalent in Atmospheric Sciences/ Meteorology/ Oceanography/ Physics/ Mathematics/ Agricultural Meteorology with minimum of 2 years research experience in Atmospheric Sciences or equivalent with good academic record OR 1^st Class M.Sc. with minimum of 3 years research experience in Atmospheric Sciences with good academic record OR 1st Class B. Tech with 3 years working experience In High Performance Computing use in atmospheric science. Experience in weather and climate studies is desired.
• Project Associate: 1st Class M. Tech or equivalent in Atmospheric Sciences/ Meteorology/ Physics / Mathematics/ Agricultural Meteorology with minimum of 1 year experience in Atmospheric Sciences or equivalent with good academic record OR 1st Class M.Sc. with minimum of 2 years research experience in Atmospheric Sciences with good academic record OR 1st Class B. Tech with 2 years working experience in High Performance Computing use in atmospheric science.
• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 1^st class M.Sc. or equivalent in Atmospheric Sciences/ Meteorology/ Physics/ Mathematics/ Agricultural Meteorology.
• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): 1^st class M.Sc with 1 year experience or M. Tech. or equivalent in Atmospheric Sciences / Meteorology / Oceanography/ Physics / Mathematics / Agricultural Meteorology.

Pay Scale

• Sr. Project Scientist: 40,000–44,000–48,000–52,000–56,000–60,000–6,000(plus HRA)
• Project Scientist: 32,000–35,200–38,400–41,600–44,800–48,000–51,200 (plus HRA)
• Project Associate: 27,500 -30,250-33,000-35,750-38,500-41,250-44,000 (plus HRA)
• JRF/SRF: As per government rules
