The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has activated the link for students to correct the Aadhaar details entered by them while filling the online application for JEE Main 2018.
Students can follow the steps given below to correct their Aadhaar details:
1. Visit the official website i.e., jeemain.nic.in.
2. Click on the link Correction in Aadhaar Details – JEE(Main)–2018
3. Enter the application number, password and security pin.
4. Click on the Login button to submit the asked details.
Aadhaar card has been made mandatory by CBSE for filling online application of JEE Main 2018. Students could submit their online application from Dec 1, 2017 to Jan 1, 2018. JEE Main 2018 is scheduled to be held on April 8, 2018 in offline mode and JEE Main 2018 computer-based test will be conducted on April 15 and 16, 2018.
Putting yet another rider for engineering aspirants, the CBSE has made Aadhaar card mandatory for registering for JEE Main 2018 exam. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has in a surprise move announced that engineering aspirants vying to apply for the IIT-JEE Main 2018 Exam will have to provide their Aadhaar Card number to register for the toughest engineering entrance exam of the country.
As per the notification provided on the website jeemain.nic.in, the CBSE confirmed the news stating that "All the Indian citizen candidates should possess AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI. At the time of filling application form of JEE (Main)-2018, the candidates will have to enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender which will be validated with the UIDAI's data. In case, these particulars do not match, the candidates will not be able to fill the application form for JEE (Main)-2018. Therefore, the candidates are advised to ensure that their AADHAAR card has correct details of their name, date of birth & gender as per school records. If there is some mismatch in these details, the candidates should immediately get it corrected in AADHAAR data or school records, as the case may be."
Keeping the latest news in mind, all engineering aspirants who are planning to apply for JEE Main 2018 but do not possess Aadhaar Card are requested to apply for it as soon as possible. Even those engineering candidates who possess their Aadhaar Card are requested to cross-verify all the details in accordance with their school certificates and marksheets. Any mistakes or wrong information must be corrected in the Aadhaar card before registering for the JEE Main 2018.
Apart from this news, the CBSE has also notified tentative dates for JEE Main 2018 engineering entrance examination. As per the latest update, CBSE will release a detailed notification regarding JEE Main 2018 registration process on 1st December 2018 and the online registration for JEE Main 2018 will conclude on 1st January 2018.
