1. B. Sc. (Nursing) Course at Colleges of Nursing
Course duration: 4 years
Course commences: July/ August 2015
2. Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery Course ( DGNMC) at Schools of Nursing of Armed Forces Hospitals
Course duration: 3½ years
Course commences: September 2015
Eligibility Conditions: Female candidates who are unmarried/ divorcee/ legally separated or widow without encumbrances.
Date of Birth: Candidates born between 01 August 1990 and 31 July 1998 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification: passed Class XII/ equivalent examination, as a regular student in all the subjects i.e. PCB as elective subjects and not optional and vocational (in both theory and practical) and English.
Selection procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the 90 minute objective type written test, likely to be held in February 2015.
Candidates qualifying the written test will be called for Interview, to be held during April 2015. After the interview, the recommended candidates will appear for medical examination.
Final selection will be done on the basis of combined merit of written test & interview, of the candidates satisfying the prescribed medical fitness standards.
Based on the merit cum choice, (subject to vacancy in each College/ School) the candidates will be awarded admission in either Colleges of Nursing or Schools of Nursing.
Selected candidates will be imparted Nursing Training of 4 years/ 3½ years, as applicable. On successful completion of the Training, the candidates will be granted Permanent/ Short Service Commission in the Military Nursing Service.
The candidates will have to execute an agreement/ Bond to serve in the Military Nursing Service (MNS) for 5 years.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible female candidates should send their applications, as per the format, along with a passport size photo and self attested copies of required certificates/ documents, three copies of the Admit card (on A4 size) with and 3 self-addressed stamped (PIN Code compulsory) envelopes to ‘The Integrated Headquarters of MoD (Army), AG’s Branch, DGMS-4B, Room No 45,’L’ Block, New Delhi-110001’ by post so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 10 November 2014 (by 1700 hours).
