The Indian Institute of Science invited applications for recruitment of Assistant Registrar, Technical Officer, Administrative Assistant, Security Supervisor, and Junior Technical Assistant. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 1 April 2014. The Indian Institute of Science was established in 1909. It is a premier autonomous institution for education and research in science and engineering, funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

Age limit
• Assistant Registrar: Candidate’s maximum age should be 45 years as on 1 April 2014.
• Technical Officer: Candidate’s maximum age should be 35 years as on 1 April 2014.
• Administrative Assistant: Candidate’s maximum age should be 26 years as on 1 April 2014.
• Security Supervisor: Candidate’s maximum age should be 40 years as on 1 April 2014.
• Junior Technical Assistant: Candidate’s maximum age should be 26 years as on 1 April 2014.
Educational Qualification
• Assistant Registrar: Post-graduate degree with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
• Technical Officer: PhD in Science or Engineering or post graduate in the relevant field in Engineering with minimum 55% marks.
• Administrative Assistant: Bachelor degree with minimum 50% marks and knowledge of computer applications OR Diploma in Secretarial/Commercial Practice (English) with minimum 50% marks.
• Security Supervisor: Bachelor degree with minimum 50% marks and 8 years experience in security duties and/or handling fire fighting in Govt./Public Sector/Education Institution/Armed Forces/Paramilitary Forces/Police.
• Junior Technical Assistant: Bachelor degree or Diploma in appropriate field with minimum 55% marks.

• Technical Officer: Rs.15600-39100+GP of Rs.5400/-
• Administrative Assistant: Rs.5200-20200+GP of Rs.2000/-
• Security Supervisor: Rs.9300-34800+GP of Rs.4200/-
• Junior Technical Assistant: Rs.5200-20200+GP of Rs.2400/-
Selection Process
Selection will be made on the basis of practical and/or written followed by an interview.
