Important Dates for Recruitment in Indian Navy

  • Date of commencement of receipt of Online (e-application): 24 April 2012
  • Last date of registration of Online (e-application): 19 May 2012
  • Last date of receipt of printed copy of the Physical Application at Naval Headquarters: 28 May 2012

Eligibility Criteria for Recruitment in Indian Navy

  • Educational Qualification: The candidate must have a Graduate Degree in any discipline with an aggregate of 60% marks with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects at 10+2 level
  • Age Limit: Minimum 21 years; Maximum 24 years (the candidates to be born between 2 January 1989 to 1 January 1994)
  • Physical Standards

(a) Height and Weight: Minimum height for men 162.5 cms and for women 152 cms with correlated weight, leg length, sitting height and thigh length

(b) Eye Sight: The minimum acceptable vision standard for distantvision 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6. Should not be colour/ night blind

Note:- There will be no relaxation in Physical Standards

Pay Scale: Rs 15600- 39100 + Grade Pay 5400

Selection Procedure for Recruitment in Indian Navy

The candidates will be selected on the basis of two stage selection procedure:

  • Stage I: Interview to be conducted by the authoritative body
  • Stage II: Successful candidates will then undergo tests mentioned below

a)      For Pilot: PABT (Pilot Aptitude Battery Tests) followed by Aviation Medical examination

b)      For Observer: Aviation Medical examination
